Cookie policy

Last updated 22 August 2026

This page lists every cookie EventPlanza sets, what each one is for, and how long it lasts.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking. Visits are counted on our own server without storing your IP address.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for the site to work at all — staying signed in, for example. Others simply remember a preference. We use nothing beyond those two kinds.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They do not need your consent.

Cookie Purpose Duration Set by
evp_session Keeps you signed in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Until you close your browser EventPlanza
evp_cookie_consent Remembers your answer to the cookie banner, so we do not ask again. 180 days EventPlanza
__cf_bm / cf_clearance Security and bot protection, set by our hosting provider. Up to 30 minutes (__cf_bm) or 1 year (cf_clearance) Cloudflare

Preferences

These remember a choice you made so you do not have to make it again. They are only set if you accept cookies — decline and the site still works exactly the same, it just forgets your language between visits.

Cookie Purpose Duration Set by
evp_marketing_lang2 Remembers the language you chose on the main site. 180 days EventPlanza
evp_auth_lang Remembers the language you chose on the sign-in pages. 180 days EventPlanza

Other things kept on your device

Inside your planner, a few interface preferences are stored in your browser's own storage rather than in a cookie. None of it is sent to us, and none of it identifies you. Clearing your browser data removes it.

  • Whether the sidebar menu is collapsed
  • Whether the sticker palette is open
  • The zoom level of your seating chart
  • Which panels and lists you last had open

Your choice

You can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing consent also deletes any preference cookies already stored.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies, and block them entirely. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in.
